Archiving Policy

Archiving and Preservation Statement
Journal of Dermatology and Aesthetics is committed to long-term access, preservation, and discoverability of published scholarly content. The journal aims to maintain stable article pages, complete metadata, persistent identifiers when active, and preservation arrangements appropriate to its stage of development.
Recommended Archiving Actions
  1. Enable OJS article metadata, PDF, HTML, and supplementary file preservation settings.
  2. Use DOI registration and metadata updates when the DOI workflow is active.
  3. Implement LOCKSS, CLOCKSS, PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), institutional repository preservation, or another recognized archiving route when available.
  4. Maintain secure backups of journal files, databases, article PDFs, metadata exports, and editorial records.
  5. Create and maintain a migration plan if the journal website, hosting provider, or publishing platform changes.
Repository Policy
Authors may deposit the published version of record in institutional, funder, subject, or personal repositories with appropriate citation to the journal and DOI when available.
Website Migration
If the journal changes platform or domain, the publisher should update DOI metadata, redirect old article pages, preserve files, and clearly communicate the migration to readers, authors, and indexing services when applicable.
