About the Journal
Lumora Journal of Anesthesiology, Intensive Care Unit, and Pain Management (LJAPPM) is a Saudi, quarterly, double-anonymized peer-reviewed, open-access journal. Its first publication year is 2025. Anesthesiology and perioperative medicine, including preoperative assessment, anesthetic pharmacology, airway and intraoperative management, monitoring, regional, obstetric and pediatric anesthesia, and postoperative recovery. The journal covers intensive and critical care, mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic and organ support, sedation, sepsis, critical illness, and multidisciplinary ICU practice. It also addresses acute, chronic, neuropathic and cancer pain, interventional pain procedures, patient safety, human factors, clinical outcomes and education across anesthesia, intensive care and pain-management services.
The journal publishes original research, systematic and scoping reviews, evidence syntheses, methods papers, protocols, brief reports, and clinically instructive reports that make a clear contribution within this scope. Published by Lumora in partnership with AHSS, it applies transparent editorial policies, responsible artificial-intelligence guidance, clear licensing, and international reporting and publication-ethics standards.
