How AI is used, stated plainly
Text you review and agree to send is processed by MiniMax, the AI model provider named in our privacy policy. Nothing is sent without your consent for that request.
Your file is extracted and you review the extraction before consenting. Files and reports expire after 24 hours, or 30 days if you activate and select optional history. You can delete them earlier.
A request already sent to the provider cannot be recalled, and provider retention depends on the verified provider arrangement, so we do not promise zero retention. These files are not used for training.
They cannot verify scientific validity, check references independently, measure plagiarism, approve ethics or determine acceptance. Using them has no effect on any editorial decision.
Use only your own non-sensitive drafts, remove personal identifiers, and disclose substantive AI help in your manuscript. AI cannot be an author.
Verified accounts get three successful reports per day across the six tools when the service is active. Failed runs do not count.

Frequently asked questions
Are the tools really free?
Yes. There is no charge with a verified Lumora account, with a daily allowance of three successful reports across the six tools when the service is active.
Is my manuscript sent to an AI company?
Only the text you review and agree to send for each request, which is processed by MiniMax, the provider named in our privacy policy. Nothing is sent without your consent.
Does using the tools affect my chance of acceptance?
No. The reports are advisory and for you only. They do not affect peer review or editorial decisions and do not guarantee acceptance.
Do I need to disclose that I used them?
Yes, if a tool gave substantive help, disclose the tool, purpose and extent of help in your manuscript, as our AI policy requires.
Can reviewers use them on manuscripts they review?
No. Confidential manuscripts or excerpts must never be uploaded to AI tools. The review coach accepts only the reviewer’s own non-confidential comments.
