Editorial board

Lumora journals are led by an editor-in-chief supported by a subject-fit editorial board, named on each journal page. Journals launching in 2026–27 accept submissions while their editorial boards are being appointed; each journal page shows its current editor-in-chief and board, or states that they are being appointed.

Named editorial boards are published on the OJS journal portals: MHJ, JDA, JGM, JGS, and JAN.

Role of the editorial board

Uphold the journal’s scholarly standards, scope, and integrity.
Guide editorial policy and support fair, unbiased peer review.
Help build a qualified reviewer community and attract quality submissions.

Editor-in-chief

Each editor-in-chief or editorial leadership group holds responsibility for editorial decisions and for protecting the independence and quality of the journal. Ali Aleid serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Lumora Journal of Dermatology, Aesthetic Medicine and Skin Science, Abdulsalam Aleid serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Lumora Journal of Anesthesiology, Intensive Care Unit, and Pain Management, and Ayman Kharaba serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Multidisciplinary Healthcare Journal.

Appointment principles

Members are appointed for relevant scholarly expertise and standing.
Boards aim for breadth across the journal’s subject areas.
Members are expected to follow Lumora’s Publication Ethics and Editorial Policies.
