Journal Policies

Manuscripts handled by Multidisciplinary Healthcare Journal (MHJ) follow Lumora’s publisher-wide policies, plus the journal-specific notes below. Where a journal page and a publisher policy differ on a procedural detail, the stricter ethics or transparency requirement applies; ask the editorial office if anything is unclear.

Peer review

MHJ uses double-anonymous peer review after desk screening for scope, completeness, and ethics documentation. Independent reviewers assess rigor, originality, methods, and contribution. Editors decide accept, revise, or reject from the reports. Details: Peer Review Policy.

Publication ethics

Authors, editors, and reviewers are expected to follow COPE-aligned practices and ICMJE authorship standards as set out in Lumora’s Publication Ethics policy — including competing interests, research ethics approvals, plagiarism screening, and corrections or retractions when needed.

Open access, copyright, and licensing

MHJ is fully open access: no subscription paywall and no embargo on published articles. Licensing and reuse follow Lumora’s Open Access Policy and Copyright and Licensing Policy. Authors should read the licence statement on the article page at publication.

Article processing charge (APC)

Submission and reading are free. For MHJ, the inclusive APC is 2,500 SAR per accepted article, invoiced only after peer-reviewed acceptance. Payment never influences editorial decisions. Full fee table: APC information.

Indexing honesty

MHJ does not advertise membership in PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, DOAJ, or similar services unless and until official acceptance is documented. Lumora may apply when criteria are met; applications are not guarantees.
